Realism. The heart of it all.
Patricia Bukur was trained as a realist painter prior to becoming a mushroom enthusiast. She studied with several famous artists as a teen, and won the National Scholastic Art Award while in High School. Her realism is in private collections in Chicago, Aspen, Paris, and Sweden. While focused now on abstracts, her realistic period included many portraits, landscapes, and conceptual themes. Some portraits and mushrooms in this section are manipulated photos on museum quality paper. The “Arigato” pieces are metallic ink and paint on paper
